Now on today's show, we are going to be joined by Kirk from State Room Statements. The business focuses on creating state room door magnets, apparel and more. And they say that they focus on helping clever cruisers express their personality. They have lots of fun things related to pop culture, and it's really just a lot of fun to see some of the quirky things that they have. I know you're all gonna love what the , what the different options are they have for your next cruise. And because we're kind of on a kick looking at things related to Disney cruises, we thought we definitely should talk about Disney cruises in this episode before we get to our talk with Kirk. So we're gonna talk a little bit about, we've talked about some of our experiences on specific cruises that we've gone on through Disney Cruise Line, but I thought it'd be good for those of you who've never taken a Disney cruise to learn a little bit more about the Disney Cruise line fleet. And I will say Chris probably wouldn't have described himself as a cruiser, but Disney Cruise Line's really given him,
Speaker 2:You're exactly right, Vanessa. You know, it's just one of those things where it's nice to not have to drive.
Speaker 1:That's true.
Speaker 2:And you have a place to go back to, but the cruising was just an exceptional experience. I've even converted my mom who was, I would say anti cruise before. Yes , this whole effort. But as we at each stop and I had cell coverage and I spoke with her, she really understood my enjoyment. And as part of that, we're looking to do a cruise with her in the future. And we actually will be doing one with her this fall to the Caribbean.
Speaker 1:Yes . So if you are not familiar with much of what Disney Cruise Line offers, they have really amazing ships , which we're gonna talk about all of them , including one that's coming online next year. And they offer just a little bit more service than some of the other cruise lines. They tout themselves as a magical fleet and really they are, when you look at Disney Cruise Line right now, they have five ships and that will soon be six next year. The fleet is celebrating its 25th anniversary, which is pretty amazing to think about. The five ships that they have right now are the Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder, the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy, and the Disney Wish. And if you have been following Disney Cruise Line at all, you know the Disney Wish is the latest one that joined last year, and the Disney Wish is the one that we will be going on this fall.
Speaker 2:That's what I'm looking forward to.
Speaker 1:Yeah . So we're super excited for that. Now, besides just traditional sailings, they do, we'll talk a little bit about their ports of call. They do a couple of special sailings throughout the year as well. They have Halloween on the High Seas, which is what we are gonna be taking when we are on the Wish this fall. They also have very merry time cruises, which we've done that in the past with some of our Disney Bride and Disney Groom friends. And they also have Marvel days at sea on certain sailings. So they do have some specialty themed sailings. And then periodically, like right now, there's some 25th anniversary cruises going on. So it's super exciting. But we're gonna kind of go in chronological order. And two of them we've been on, and three, we've not go , of course we will be on a third one in a few months. But let's start off with the Disney Magic, which, okay, Chris , maybe you've been paying attention and you can do some math. When did the Disney Magic enter the fleet?
Speaker 2:20 years ago,
Speaker 1:We were just talking about the 25th anniversary.
Speaker 2:25th anniversary,
Speaker 1:Yeah . So in 1998,
Speaker 2:Wow
Speaker 1:Is when the Disney cruise line really emerged on the scene. So the Disney Magic is, has a huge focus on like Mickey Mouse artwork, and they have some really great dining options , some that you see replicated on other ships. One of the things is that they have animators palette , which if you've not been on one of the Disney cruise ships that has this, this is a super cool dining room, you go in and it looks like white walls essentially. And then throughout the evening, drawings start to appear until they become fully animated and colored
Speaker 2:Way they incorporated the animation into the overall environment. You know, I was a little skeptical. I just wanted to eat. I didn't really wanna draw a lot, but I enjoyed the artwork that other people did. And it's one of those things where, you know, we were a later dinner service and so I was kind of ready to eat and, but animators palette, if you're looking to kinda keep the kids entertained and other folks, it's a great way to get them engaged.
Speaker 1:So some of the other restaurants that are on there are Lairs and Rapunzel's Royal Table, and all of the Disney ships have Broadway like shows. And it's just really nice because the Disney Magic has been able to kind of see lots of parts of the world it has been to, it has done sailing in Europe, the Caribbean, and The Bahamas. And we haven't had a chance to be on this ship yet, but I will say we were on The Wonder, which is the next ship we're gonna talk about. And even though the wonder is not too much younger than the magic Disney ships age, well
Speaker 2:They sure do. And that was the one thing that I was very impressed with because as part of the Disney experience, you just, you look for the fraying of carpet, discolored paint stains, and it was one of those things where, you know, I think aesthetically the boat was up to date . I've not been on a lot of cruises, so I can't really tell you what is the most up to date . I mean, again, buildings have changed in 20 years in regards to just overall engineering, but if you were just to walk on the boat and you were to say, is this a 25 year old boat or a five year old boat? I don't know if people would really make the distinction if they're first time cruisers, now we have family members who are experts, they would know the difference. I myself didn't.
Speaker 1:Now one thing is that even the magic, it's had multiple refurbishments, they've added new water slides, interactive areas, a lot of new adult spaces. They've been really good about keeping up with technology on the ships. So that's something to note . Even if you end up on the magic, you're not gonna be disappointed, even though it's the older one in the fleet. The second one, the Disney Wonder, which we've been on it to Alaska, and then my family also went on it many years ago on a Caribbean cruise. So the magic is what's, or I'm sorry, the wonder, it has some really cool aspects like for our daughter, she loved , there's a frozen musical spectacular that's a stage show in the French Quarter. There's a like a princess and a frog themed restaurant. And that I re , we really enjoyed the Prince , like the Louisiana, kind of like New Orleans feel that night . Did you enjoy that?
Speaker 2:Yes, I did. <laugh>
Speaker 1:And they have the band that's from Princess and the Frog and Princess Tiana comes and Louis and it's just so much fun that ship set sail in 1999, and I will age myself a bit. We went in 2003, my family went on it. So we went when it was only four years old. And then Chris and us and like our whole family again went last summer when it was 23 years old and you couldn't tell the difference. Like he said, they're just so great at keeping it up. Now, one of the things is that with this one is that it has the animators palette , it has Tritons shows, a lot of Little Mermaid sorts of things. It's a little bit nicer. It's not super over the top like animated sorts of hints about the Little Mermaid. And then there's Tiana's Place, which that one is the one that we just talked about. That's a lot of fun. Now this one has Caribbean and destinations in the Caribbean and The Bahamas. And then of course, like we just talked about, it goes to Alaska. It has also done some of the ones that are on the West coast that go to some of the southern areas like near Baja California and that , I've seen it on those sorts of sailings as well. So the wonder it will , if you're going to Alaska, you're probably gonna be on the Disney Wonder. And like he said, we really had a great time on that and we spent seven nights on that ship and enjoyed every minute of it of it. Probably would've loved even more time on the ship as well. Now moving on to the next ship is the Disney Dream. And this is the one that Chris and I ha have also had an opportunity to be on. So I've been on three Disney cruises. Two were on the Wonder and then Chris and I, his first Disney cruise was on the Disney Dream. We set sail on that with some of our friends from some other Disney couples. And this one is quite a bit newer. It was, it debuted in 2011. And one of the fun things that it has is a aqua duck water coaster. And that aqueduct coaster is really fun. Chris and I had a chance to do it. It was freezing. We , we were in The Bahamas, but it was pretty cold. It was December, but we made sure that we took a chance to go on that coaster and it was a lot of fun and it goes over the edge of the ship and you get to see like views of the ocean. Probably Chris doesn't even remember going on the Aqueduct. I do not <laugh>, but we did try it out. And one of the things is that this ship is really has like a art deco design and it reminds you a lot of like those classic ocean liners. One of the things that is really big besides the Aqueduct is that it has a few little different dining options. It has animators palette , which we've already talked about. It has an enchanted garden themed one, which that one's on a lower deck of the ship. And then finally it has a royal palace. And one of the things that is kind of neat is this one typically spends most of its time in The Bahamas. And so that's where we went when we were on it. And of course when you're in The Bahamas, you get a chance to go to Castaway Key , which is awesome. That's Disney's private island. So if you are on any of the sailings that go in The Bahamas look for a stop. And some of them will even stop twice at the private island, which is super cool. Now we've been, so we've been on the dream. The next one is the Disney Fantasy, and this one is of course newer. It's the, it's the sister ship to the Disney Dream. Disney tends to kind of debut two ships really close to each other. This one in the lobby of each of the, the atriums of each of the ships. There's usually a big statue to someone. So, and the wonder, it's aerial and on the dream it is mini mouse. And that's super cool because again, it's always fun to check out and get some of those pictures. One of the things that this one has is it has a little bit more interactive things if you're interested in Star Wars or Marvel as a Star Wars command post and the Marvel Superhero Academy. So that is kind of fun and a little fun fact is set sail on my mom's birthday, which is March 31st. So that's kind of fun. This particular ship has kind of a art novo feel . It has an aqueduct as well, but it also has what's called the Aqua Lab , which is a play area for younger kids. This one is usually Eastern and Western Caribbean. So these itineraries will have a little bit more variation compared to just going to the regular Bahamas on the shorter sailings that you might have on the dream or the wonder. And this one is really awesome as well. They have pirate nights , all those sorts of things, but you'll mostly see it down in the Caribbean. So that is the fantasy. Now moving on from there, you have the most recent addition to Disney's fleet , and that's the Disney wish, which I'm so excited to go on this. I know it's been around for a year, but the Disney Wish is the latest one that joined, and they call it in terms of the design and style, they say it's a modern Cinderella castle. And one of the fun things, and I am super excited for this and I know even Chris will love this, there's a frozen themed dining room and there's a show that kind of plays into it and it's all in the Erindale dining area. So what do you think, Chris ? Are you excited for the Frozen?
Speaker 2:I sure am. I can't
Speaker 1:Wait. And then they have some exciting features on the Disney Wonder. We, my mom and I took our daughter to, there was a royalty with some of the princesses well on the Wish because it has the Aaron Dale dining area, there's an Olaf picnic and we have that booked with our daughter. So I'll make sure to share our reviews of that as well. I'm super excited to that. Now, something that I know Chris probably won't be as excited for. They have the frozen restaurant, but then on the flip side, we're not super big superhero fans and there is a Marvel restaurant, but I think you, for those of you who love Marvel, but maybe not like Frozen, at least there's a good balance. And on the Disney Wish there's some additional upgrades if you have little ones. The Oceaneer Club has a cool thing. I wanna know if I can do this. There's a slide that goes from deck two to or from deck three down to deck two from the kids club, which is super cool. They have another area called the Hero Zone, which of course is from the Incredibles. This area has all kinds of fun, recreational, physical activities. It has basketball ping pong, it has kind of like those blow up obstacle course sorts of things, which looks super fun. I'm sure Chris will get into some of those. He loves to do things that are kind of like physical challenges. Oh, definitely. Yeah . So that should be fun. And a little tip that I read when I was just looking up some general information about this ship is that they say, go to the open house for the Oceaneer Club on the day that the ship embarks, because there's usually always a superhero there that you can get at a meet and greet. So even if your little one is like our daughter, who probably won't wanna go to the club on her own, at least take him to the open house and get to see that, that character. And then finally we have the Disney treasure, which will set sail next year. We have some friends at Cruise a lot, and I know I'm hoping that they'll be on one of these early cruises with the Disney treasure. And one of the things is it's very similar to layout of the Disney Wish. So when we give, get a chance to be able to give you our reviews from that, you'll hear more about that. But instead of having more of a fairytale feel that we see on the wish, it's considered to have mysterious adventure vibes. And what it looks like is kind of the grand hall, which is more the atrium area that we see has a lot of deep blues and turquoise. And it's kind of, it's really modeled after looking at Araba from Disney's Aladdin. And then I guess there's some other features from like far away places in Asia and Africa. So I'm super excited to see what the treasure looks like and it gives us another reason to cruise again, Chris. Definitely. And it'd be interesting to see they've, they've hinted about some of the itineraries, but I'm looking forward to it. But as you can see, the Disney fleet just continues to grow. They tend to debut ships usually two at a time, within a year or two timeframe. So I'm really excited. We definitely got the cruise bug after going on a seven day cruise. I will say I highly recommend starting with a short one. I know my family did a three night and then Chris and I did I think a four or five night with friends, and then we worked our way up to the week long one on when we went to Alaska. But Disney Cruise line is awesome. And as he said, like even his mom is not a Disney person, but we kind of sold her on the aspect of traveling with Disney. And really when we were in Alaska, we met people from a lot of different cruise lines. And what did people really say who were on other cruise lines? Well ,
Speaker 2:They just really mentioned is how the reputation of Disney being outstanding and that their cruise line, well , it had a nice bed, really lacked in a lot of the amenities that you're looking for when you go on a cruise. And it's just one of those things where you're sitting with people and talking and that reputation of Disney really , uh, leads. And I think that's the key thing that we've mentioned about Disney. Is Disney expensive? Yes it is. But don't you want that full experience? And we were on this ship for a week. Yes, that nice . And I don't remember how much money we spent, but I remember how wonderful the experience was. And I would rather say, yes, it was a lot of money and it was a great experience versus I saved a couple of bucks, but I didn't feel like I had a great time. And that's, I think that distinct Disney is an and park, it's a and experience. And as part of that, I just cannot recommend the Alaska cruise high enough.
Speaker 1:Yeah , so he loves the Alaska cruise. I really could say any Disney cruise is gonna be awesome. I know my plan with me go on. The Disney Wish is we're spending most of our time on the cruise ship itself because we've been to these ports of call before. We want our daughter to experience a few things at the ports, but most of our time's gonna be on the ship because we just enjoy Disney cruise line that much. And we've only, we're only three time cruisers for myself. So really looking forward to sharing our upcoming cruise experiences. And then hopefully after you hear our call with Kirk, you can order some things to really make your next Disney cruise line trip fun and unique by having some really cool magnets or apparel that you can wear while you're on the ship. So give us a minute and we'll get our call up with Kirk. We'd like to welcome Kirk to the show. His business state room statements has really cool custom magnets that you can use for your cruise room door. His brand was started when he was in college with , by a friend who was also a graphic designer, and they were former improv comedians. Their designs are really fun for, of course, your cruising adventures. They have some unique humor and some clever references to Disney things and other just like fun, cute kind of saying . So we are really looking forward to hearing from Kirk, welcome to the show.
Speaker 3:Thank you , uh, so much for having me, guys. I'm really excited to be here.
Speaker 1:Now we always like to start out by finding a little bit about what you like about Disney. So recently we've been asking people what is your favorite snack at any Disney park?
Speaker 3:And that's , uh, that's a tricky one. I saw , I saw your message about this and I've been trying to , uh, you know, do some rankings in my head. Um, I think what , uh, my current answer is going to be the corn dog nuggets from , uh, Casey's Corner. Okay. Yeah, <laugh> , uh, yeah, those , uh, those are just , uh, so craveable and greats and yeah. Uh , that definitely something I miss when we're not , uh, at the parks
Speaker 1:For sure. And I know we all have those favorites that we wanna try. What whatever park it's at or what coast you're at, I know I have different favorites at Disneyland compared to Disney World too. We're here of course, to hear about your business and what are the products you offer connected to Disney, for
Speaker 3:Sure. Yeah, so we , uh, we're , uh, state room statements. Uh, we call ourselves the purveyors of Clever Cruise gear. So we do , uh, cruise door magnets , uh, shirts. We have , uh, you know, drink wear . Uh, we're actually in the process of launching a , a selection of lanyards. Um, so we have a a lot of , uh, stuff in the works beyond what we already have now. Um, but yeah, we're, we're , uh, our primary focus, I would say is on the cruise door magnets. That's, that's the bulk of our business and what people love us for. Um, and we do , uh, personalized magnets for , uh, all kinds of cruises. Uh, so certainly a lot of Disney cruises is a part of our business. Um, also folks going on Royal Caribbean, on Carnival, on Norwegian, all of those other cruise lines , uh, especially for folks who are , uh, celebrating, if they're celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, all of those things at sea . Uh, we have , um, some really nice designs , uh, to, to commemorate all those occasions. Um, and then as far as the Disney , uh, aspect of it goes , uh, we do have a whole selection of , uh, what we call magic at sea , um, as well as our pop culture collections. So we, we do a lot of like, fun references , uh, to the parks and to , uh, you know , different properties. Uh, you know, for example, one ones we just came out with is , uh, welcome Foolish Portholes <laugh> , um, with sort of a Madame Leotta esque figure , uh, on there. Uh , so we like to have fun with , uh, a lot of the references there as well.
Speaker 2:Awesome. You know, and what was your inspiration to start the business?
Speaker 3:Absolutely. So our , our inspiration was actually , uh, we went on a Royal Caribbean cruise , uh, out of Los Angeles here. And, and that was really , uh, my , that was my first time on a cruise ship a little over a year ago. Uh, it was our first cruise and , uh, my first time on a cruise ship. And , uh, you know, I , I never knew that cruise door decorating was, you know, was a thing , um, until we caught on board . And then we saw, you know, on royal it's not quite as , uh, uh, intense <laugh> as the , uh, the Disney boat are for, for decorating. But we did see, you know, some fun decorations. Um, and, you know, honestly, we also saw some of the decorations of the cruise lines themselves , uh, sell . And , um, you know, frankly I thought there was a little bit of improve of room for improvement in terms of the quality of , uh, the designs products cause they were looking at . So that , that was sort of the initial spark. Um, you know, and I , uh, I got together with my buddy Brian , uh, who was my roommate back in college. Uh, he and I, as he mentioned, were , uh, in an improv comedy tro together. Uh, we both are also , uh, sort of graphic designers and visual designers and our , our day jobs. Uh , and so we put our heads together and we started coming up with some ideas. Um , you know, so we started with some of the, I guess the basics of , of cruise decorations, you know , uh, caution. We got the drink package or , uh, let's get naughty in a ut . Um, and, and then from there we started , uh, you know, expanding and, and getting out into, I think some of the stuff that's really much more fun , uh, and , and I think sets us apart is our , our unique sense of humor. Um, we have one that just came out that's , uh, you know , inspired by , uh, Harry Potter. Uh, it looks a bit like the marauders map , uh, and it's called Midship Managed <laugh> . Um , so we have a lot of fun , uh, sort of incorporating that, that sense of humor , uh, as well as the references to , uh, to Disney and all the other
Speaker 1:Properties . Now, that kind of ties into the next question we always like to ask, and you've kind of answered this a little bit. Maybe you could expand on it with telling us some more about some of your other Disney designs. How do you think your products add Disney Magic in this case, really to cruiser's lives?
Speaker 3:Absolutely. So , um, I think, I think there's a lot of ways , um, you know, we, we have , just to clarify, we have a ton of, of , uh, you know, sort of Disney inspired designs, things based on little Nemo , tron, pirates, spaceship Earth, jungle Cruise, you know, all , all of those , uh, different, different base are are covered. Um, as far as how it adds to magic, I think practically , uh, it adds a little bit of practical magic in that you can, you know, crazily spot your room , uh, in that long crowded hallway of rooms mm-hmm . <affirmative> , um, I think less, less practically. Uh, I think what we sell really is just a little tiny piece of folks as crews . Um, it's a little tiny piece of that magic that , um, you know, we get a lot of folks who are buying magnets , uh, who have cruises coming up in four months, six months, even a , you know , a year or two years out. Um, they're buying magnets to get kind of psyched up and, you know , uh, buy a little piece of that magic of their upcoming cruise. Um, and so it makes a great kind of , uh, you know, hype piece , I guess, you know , throw it on your refrigerator on a filing cabinet. Uh , that's a reminder of your , your cruise vacation coming up. And then obviously once, once your vacation's over, it's fantastic keepsake. Um , especially you have it personalized with, you know, your family's names or whatever occasions you're celebrating. Um , it's a really nice keepsake afterwards as well.
Speaker 1:Now, I noticed a lot of your designs really highlight where you can have that personalization for special occasions, which I think is unique compared to a lot of the door designers out there. They have a lot of like, just set designs or like, you can have a name on them , but what are all the different occasions that you have where people can get personalized? For
Speaker 3:Sure. That's a great question. So we have , um, uh, anniversaries, birthdays , uh, as well as like engagements just married . She said yes, he said yes, they said yes. Uh, graduations, honeymoons , uh, your first cruise , uh, retirement , um, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties , uh, pretty much anything you can think of. We, we have a lot of, a lot of those bases covered, but also we do a lot of , uh, custom work. Um, we just worked with this gentleman from , uh, Charleston, South Carolina that he was actually doing a , a proposal , uh, for his girlfriend and kind of using our magnets as part of that. So we actually, we made her a birthday magnet and we made a much larger magnet that said, she said yes , uh, for them to put up after the fact. Um , so that , you know, that was kinda fun. Oh , nice . To get involved in that. And , you know , we were trying to ship it to them covertly and make sure she didn't, you know, spot the package or anything like that.
Speaker 1:Now, do you have a favorite Disney design? I know you have a lot of great ones, but do you have a personal favorite?
Speaker 3:That's a tricky question. <laugh>. Um, they're , they're all a little bit like , uh, my baby sometimes. Sure. I would think my current favorite is, is also our newest , uh, Disney inspired one, which is , uh, cruise ship Earth <laugh> , um, a a take on Spaceship Earth as sort of a vintage eighties aesthetic. Um , and , and sort of the tagline on there is to , uh, thank the Buffett <laugh>. Uh, so instead of thanking the Venetians , yeah . Uh , somewhere in my head I pictured that there was an ancient culture called the Bastians , uh, who, who created the buffet for us. So , uh, you know, it's , I don't know if that was , it hasn't flown off the shelves yet, but it is my personal favorite currently
Speaker 2:<laugh> . Now, you know, you mentioned your personal favorite babies, which are , would be your most popular sellers.
Speaker 3:Absolutely. Uh , I would say the most popular ones are currently , uh, on the Disney side as , uh, are , uh, a cruising life for me, which is just , uh, uh, essentially you can put your name of the Caribbean , um, you know , so, you know , Johnson's of the Caribbean or Smith's of the Caribbean , uh, what have you. And it's got that, that kind of , you know , part of the Caribbean aesthetic. Um, so that, that's our number one seller as far as , uh, Disney goes. And I would say number two , uh, close runner up is , uh, uh, a Star Wars inspired one with Yoda , and it's a Lido or Lido not , there is no tribe .
Speaker 2:Oh, it's , no , I just have a question. I know, you know, you have one that's , uh, this side up. Is that one popular with the Disney crowd because of their love of DOL whip ,
Speaker 3:Uh , <laugh> , that that one is not , uh, not super popular with the Disney crowd. Um ,
Speaker 2:I I thought that was like a Disney, like Dole whip inside joke kinda thing.
Speaker 3:It's not a , a Disney Doll whip inside joke. It is , it is a bit of an inside joke, but I would , uh, I would leave it to your, if viewers to do , uh, some Googling <laugh> on , on , uh, on the meaning of a , of a planet , whatever , be from upside down .
Speaker 2:Oh, I, I thought that was , but , um, you know, what I like really like about your piece is that personalization, because I think the one nice thing is that because it's so personalized and it means something to you, it's almost a nice souvenir that when, like you said, when you get it, you put it on the fridge and then you put it on your door and then you wanna bring it home with you. And so I think that's what's the great thing about it, is that it has so many purposes. And then that one thing that you make of Disney Magic will go so many places on that cruise
Speaker 3:For sure. And you know, a lot of folks will , uh, you know, they'll hang onto them. Uh, you know, a lot of times when you go on Disney and you see those , uh, you know, crazy decorated rooms that have like, you know, a hundred magnets a lot of times sometimes that comes all at once. <laugh>, you know, I'm sure some folks get very enthusiastic, but , uh, in a lot of cases that accumulates over time. You know, folks, they , they get a , they get a new, you know, magnet or decoration or two every cruise , and that kind of accumulates and then , uh, you know, suddenly they've got, you know, inflatables all over their , uh, Christmas stickers , <laugh> .
Speaker 1:Now I know when we've been on , particularly when we were on a longer Disney cruise, there will be magnet exchanges. Do you do any smaller designs that people can use for those?
Speaker 3:Yeah, actually, so we just , um, based on some , some requests, we got some cus from customers , uh, we've just introduced , uh, some smaller magnets for , um, yeah, for ma magnet exchanges or also folks use it for their fish extender , uh, gift exchange. Yes . Um , or , or folks who do the , the pixie dusting. Yeah . Um, but yeah, right now what we have for that are , uh, they're basically small life rings. Okay . They're like a mini life ring magnet and it says the name of the ship , uh, as well as like the destination. So, you know, we have like , uh, Disney Wonder, Alaska Cruise , uh, we have a lot of those going on right now.
Speaker 1:And if I were to order any of your products, like what's the turnaround time?
Speaker 3:Great question. So , uh, about half of what we offer is what we call ready to ship. Uh, so those are, those are items that are not personalized. Uh, so those are, you know, we can get those out out the door to you tomorrow. Uh, and then personalized , uh, products, it takes usually about three or four business days for us to get that process. Um, but we, we, we have , uh, you know, we, we have magical capabilities , uh, we can speed that up when necessary. Um, so we, we've had folks reach out to us as soon as, you know, three or four days before sailing, and we've managed to, to help them out as well. Um, and of course we have a lot of folks who are, are the , the major planners and are, you know, you know , booking out in advance or , you know, we , we email them and say, you know , we're so sorry your order's gonna be two days late. They're like, it's fine. I don't think I went until 2025 <laugh> , um, <laugh> . So , uh, we , we can help , uh, both , both of those crowds
Speaker 2:For all those people who are either planning for a cruise soon or in 2025 , where can they go to find out all the great things you make?
Speaker 3:Absolutely. So , uh, the best place to find us is our website, which is , uh, stateroom statements com . Um , uh, also , uh, on Instagram, which is , uh, stateroom dot statements , um, where we're easy to find there. But , um, yeah, that's where they can see all of our new designs. Uh , we launched new designs on a , a weekly basis. Um, and as I mentioned before, we also do custom work. So , um, you know, and anything folks can dream of, we can definitely help them , uh, out with that .
Speaker 1:Well, we will make sure to put all of the links to your website and your socials and the show notes. And thank you so much for joining us today .
Speaker 3:Thank you guys. I really appreciate it.
Speaker 2:Thank you again to Kurt today for joining us,
Speaker 1:And now we are on to our two minute trivia and our wisdom from Walt quote. Chris , you are up with trivia
Speaker 2:Disney, you'll not get, you will never get this, this is extremely difficult. This would be very, very hard trivia. Okay . But Disney cruise line was the first cruise line to have blank instead of the traditional regulation color.
Speaker 1:Oh. Oh, it's for the lifeboats yellow.
Speaker 2:You got it. Yes. Yes.
Speaker 1:I don't know how I remember this, but I've read it on something.
Speaker 2:Disney Cruise line was the first to have yellow lifeboats instead of the traditional regulation orange. And we know how focused Disney is on aesthetics. Disney was granted special permission by the US Coast Guard to paint lifeboats yellow to keep them with the special color theming of the ship yellow lifeboats.
Speaker 1:And I don't remember where I remember reading that, but it's been a long time. But I, that stood out in my memory. It is a pretty cool fact cuz only I feel like only Disney could get this type of permission for things.
Speaker 2:Yes. And I give you a plus for that. Tremendous, remember, hence Awesome.
Speaker 1:Thank you. Well, now I, you've gotten me stumped on the last few, so I'm glad I was able to get that now because we were talking about cruising and it makes me think of things in the outdoors cuz you're enjoying the landscape and on the water. I found a quote from Walt that I think it kind of just talks about outdoor beauty and all those different things. It talks about more than water, but I think it's a good ending to our show today. Landscapes of great wonder and beauty lie under our feet and all around us. They are discovered in tunnels in the ground, the heart of flowers, the hollows of trees, freshwater ponds, seaweed jungles between tides and even drops of water. Life in these hidden worlds is more startling in reality than anything we can imagine. How could this earth of ours, which is only a speck in the heavens, have so much variety of life, so many curious and exciting creatures, and isn't that true? Hopefully you can go experience some of these wonders by going on one of the Disney cruise ships, whether it be going to Alaska, Europe, The Bahamas. Take that trip, plan your next or your first Disney cruise line trip and you will not be disappointed.
